Erwin Eisch

In 1962 the American artist Harvey K. Littleton met the German Erwin Eisch, an artist who had been making his own glass sculpture for several years in his family’s factory in Germany. For Littleton, Eisch was a revelation. He was the first practising artist he had met, who had specifically chosen glass as his medium of expression. Through their friendship an important link was established between America and European artists in glass. Erwin Eisch is one of the founders of the studioglass movement. In Galerie B, you will find a wide selection of his work.
